How to choose a heat rejection film: four questions to ask

Four questions decide the right grade: light, heat, glass side and glass type.

1. How much light do you want to keep?

Visible light transmittance decides brightness. Offices usually stay above 50%; west-facing rooms can go darker.

2. How much heat must be rejected?

Ask for TSER per EN 410 — the whole solar spectrum is what heats the room, not just brightness.

3. Interior or exterior glass?

Exterior grades reject heat before it enters; interior grades are easier to maintain.

4. What is the glass type?

Double-glazed, Low-E and laminated units each need a compatible grade — we match the film to the glass in the quotation.
