Nano ceramic heat rejection film: what the numbers mean

Our nano ceramic heat rejection film is a single-layer coating built with inorganic ceramic particles below 40 nm. The numbers, per EN 410 testing: 72% visible light transmission, 54% total solar energy rejected, 90% infrared blocked, 99% UV blocked, 9% reflectance, 2 mil thickness.

In a room that means daylight stays high while glare and heat drop, and the view through the glass barely changes.

Because the film is single-layer and ceramic — not metallised — it does not interfere with mobile, radio or 5G signals, and the service life is long: at least 20 years on exterior application.
